That was not my first (nor second or third...) stay there, and what Rigel could offer is - moderate price when more central and more upscale hotels already doubled or trippled price for high season. So plan 6...8 nights stay, buy 7days vaporetto pass at 65 euro, and here we are! In the Venice at half price, with unlimited rides on vaporettos outside of peak hours. Generous breakfast with lot of vegan options, including almonds walnuts sunflower, as well as cheeses and prosciottos (not upscale quality, but hey you got A LOT for price paid) My next recommendations are: - go for S.Giorgio island, for visit Fondazione Giorgio Cini (check their schedule in advance its not daily; its in my top3 "pay-per-vislt" in Venice, roof of the SsnMarco basilique and gallery of the Accademy are other two) and/or for great coffee corretto with THE VIEW in local cafe. Alcohol is overpriced there but sandwiches very good, chiccetti presented at michelin-level, and coffee at the bar is very goid and cheap - avoid one-day-tourists routes and schedule. For example vaporetto route 1 from Lido all the way along Giardini, SanMarco and GrandCanal is beatiful experience after 19pm or at the sunruse, but can be horrible in the middle of weekend days - don't look for fine dining on Lido, it sumply not exists. For drink in style go to bar ofvExcelciour hotel, for food which justify 100 euro / person tag check renowed resraraunts on Burano (advance reservations like 2 months before recommended!)

The room was clean and had traditional decor, which I loved! Also had a fridge, which was useful and a lovely small balcony. The Lido location has everything I needed too! A great supermarket, restaurants, cafe’s, clothes shops, buses and water buses all a 10 minute walk away. Plus a beach - I didn’t have time to visit - it was a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The local water bus takes you to great tourist areas including Piazza San Marco, St Marks Square. The staff at Hotel Rigel were friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was incredible! So much choice with hot and cold options, I visited for Biennale Arte 2024. which was great! Being located in Lido was really convenient as the water bus stopped at both sites - Arsenale and Giardini (although you can walk between the two locations if you’re able). As a solo traveller, this was my second visit to Venice and the Lido area, I felt safe. I had some great pizzas in Lido and Japanese food near Arsenale - Yuga Sushi. To travel from Marco Polo airport to Lido I bought a return ticket for 27 Euros and a 3-day city pass which I used extensively!

The room was comfortable and very pretty in the old-fashioned Venetian style. The balcony was pretty and having a proper even if small fridge in the room was very useful, much more so than the fully stacked minibar fridge you usually get. The breakfast had a good variety of foods, both savory and sweet, and it was lovely to have your tasty morning coffee in the pretty garden. Cheers to the friendly breakfast staff who kept everything running smoothly. The hotel is on a quiet street and still close to everything. A 5-minute walk to the Vaporetto and Aligalaguna stops, a lot of restaurants nearby, and a 10-minute walk to the nearest beach Bluemoon (recommend). Not everything was perfect but would definitely stay here again. We rented bikes from the hotel (5€/half day, 10€/full day), they're not fancy but you really don't need anything special, it's all flat there and the traffic is not bad so it's really easy cycling. Very nice to be able to pick up the bike right at the hotel and go see the island outside of the touristy center.

Room looked just like the pictures, which is exactly what you want. Easy to find, signpost at end of street, pointing you in the right direction. Loved the balcony, great safe, new, modern and easy to use! Nifty little fridge, ideal for milk and fizzy drinks.Kettle in the room...a MUST for me. Expansive choice of breakfast and hot drinks, as well as a choice of fruit juices. Waiter and waitresses were very amenable and considerate.Helpful, friendly staff. All the cleaners did a cracking job and had friendly smiles. Shower was fine and a small bath too, so both of us were happy. Complimentary soaps, shampoo and shower caps.Hotel was easy to reach from the vaporetta stop and a few minutes from a supermarket 'Coop', bars, restaurants and a nice walk to the beach.

The hotel is located in a small quiet street but not far from the vaporetto stop. Here, you can quickly reach Venezia, Murano, and Burano. I did not expect to find such a comprehensive breakfast buffet, all that I could imagine. The friendly waiter served one or two true italian cappuchino (with a heart). The room was small but had everything I needed. Cleaned carefully every day. The staff was very friendly and I had a pleasant stay. I defintely will come back.
